The right steps, in the right order

Safety first: if the break-in might still be in progress, stay out and call the police. Preserve the scene and photograph everything before tidying. File the police report — its receipt conditions compensation. Declare the claim to your insurer within the deadline. Then secure: your insurer does not expect you to leave the door gaping until the expert visits — on the contrary, you are required to limit further damage. Keep the replaced parts and the photos.

What we do on site

A full audit of every access — main door, service door, reachable windows: intruders do not always leave the way they came. Then, as needed: replacement of the fractured lock and cylinder, repair of strike plates and frames burst by the crowbar, hinge realignment, destroyed guards replaced. When the door itself is beyond immediate repair, we fit a secure provisional closure — a solid screwed panel with a locking device, built to hold for weeks while you choose the definitive door, which we can also quote. The visit ends with the itemised invoice and the intervention certificate describing the damage — the two key documents of your claim.

Can I repair before the insurance expert visits? Yes — you must even limit further damage. Keep photos, replaced parts and our certificate: the expert works from them.

Do you also secure shops? Yes: storefronts, forced metal shutters, stockroom doors — with the same insurer paperwork and night priority so no shop stays open to the street.
