Lock replacement — all brands, guaranteed fitting

Tired, forced or outdated lock: like-for-like replacement or an upgrade, with careful adjustment and a firm prior quote.

📞 07 66 54 96 41 — 24/7

A lock is typically replaced every fifteen to twenty years — sooner after a break-in, one slam too many, or years without care. It is a short job, one to two hours in most cases, but a decisive one: it sets your door's resistance for the next fifteen years. We replace every type across the Paris region, like-for-like or upgraded.

When to replace

After a break-in or attempt — a forced mechanism is weakened even if it "still works", and insurers usually require replacement. When the lock tires — a catching key, a lazy bolt, a door you must lift to double-lock: signs of the complete failure to come, always at the worst time. When moving in — you cannot know how many key copies circulate. And to upgrade — from single-point to multipoint, or from a basic cylinder to a protected one.

Every type covered

Surface-mounted locks (on the inside face — most older homes): robust, quick to replace, available in 1 to 5 points. Mortice locks (hidden in the door's thickness): replaced to the exact template, measured on site. Cased multipoint locks under a full-height aluminium cover for modern doors. Wherever possible we work to identical dimensions — no needless joinery, no disfigured door. And remember: a lock's real price is lock + fitting + adjustment; careful strike alignment is what separates a twenty-year installation from one that tires in two.

Tenant or owner?

Under French rules, a tenant may replace a lock at their own expense (returning a working door at the end of the lease), while replacement due to age falls to the owner; after a break-in, the occupant's insurance usually steps in. We issue invoices suited to each case, and handle multi-unit jobs for landlords and managing agents with written reports.

FAQ
