Choosing the right safe
Three questions decide everything. What do you store? The insured value determines the certification grade (EN 1143-1 grades 0 to V in Europe) your insurer will accept. Where does it go? A wall safe hides well but limits volume; a floor safe resists extraction best; a free-standing safe over 1,000 kg — or properly anchored — is the shop standard. How do you open it? Key, mechanical combination, electronic keypad or biometric — electronic locks dominate today, with key override options.
Installation matters as much as the safe
A good safe badly anchored is a suitcase with a handle. We seal wall safes into masonry, chemically anchor free-standing models to concrete floors, and position the safe away from obvious search zones. Discretion is part of the service: unmarked vehicle on request, no exterior signs of the work.
Opening & servicing
Lost combination, dead keypad battery, blocked bolt, inherited safe with no key: we open safes without destroying them whenever the mechanism allows, and replace locks or reprogram codes afterwards. Regular servicing (hinges, bolt work, battery) keeps an electronic safe reliable for decades.

Can you open a safe without the code? In most cases yes, non-destructively; when drilling is unavoidable we repair or replace the lock afterwards and the body remains serviceable.
